The tone may be serious, humorous, or deliberately dramatic, so context matters.
Being disqualified closes one route, but it does not necessarily define the person involved. A careful review can reveal whether the outcome resulted from misconduct, an administrative error, an unclear rule, or a requirement that needs to be met later. Understanding that difference turns a discouraging word into useful information about what happened and what can be done next.
